Lake Rabishko
Lake Rabishko is the largest lake in Bulgaria with area of coverage of 7.8 km. It is located near by the Magura cave. Its depth reach up to 35-40 m. This is unusual depth for the lakes in the region. The lake is not fed by and it does not feed a river. It begins from underground spring. This is also very unusual for the lakes in the region. Because of these peculiarities, the people in the middle ages believed that the lake was enfolded in mystical life and it was considered a home of mythical animals like samodivi, hali and devils. However the lake is an excellent place for water sports and joy as surfing, fishing and swimming.
